COMPUTER LAB

Computer lab caters to the computing needs of students to carry out their project work, learning activities with high-speed internet connectivity to help them accomplishing their research objectives. The College has two Computer Labs enriched with modern well-equipped machines with the latest configuration & software’s. All the required software’s are installed with antivirus with periodic updates and maintenance of laboratories is at a high priority. The lab is fully air-conditioned. We provide a pleasant working environment for students to undertake their practical and assignment work. 24*7 internet connectivity through well-established LAN with high bandwidth internet speed. One can also access the Wi-Fi network in hostels, classrooms, canteens, libraries in campus using their own computing devices.

The Institute has 130 Desktops out of which 118 are available for students. The college uses HP, Dell & BenQ workstations. Computer labs have adequate number of desktops maintaining student to computer ratio of <5:1 most of the times. In addition, there are 7 Epson printers and 5 scanners in the administrative block. The college uses 7 Panasonic projectors, 5 in the seminar hall and 2 in auditorium. The college has employed a full time IT consultant for maintenance and support of the ICT infrastructure. In general, computing and internet facilities are available to all the teachers and students in the campus. The institution provides access to desktop systems to both faculty and students which allows them to use computer aid for academic projects, practical sessions for making effective learning with innovative teaching methods. This includes giving group assignments and having power point presentations, where students can discuss and explore their knowledge together. Learning combined with visual presentations or working on certain software is much more enjoyable and comprehensive for the students.
